VINTAGE WHISTLING HOBO LIGHT UP FIGURE MUSICAL COLLECTIBLE 1960'S JAPAN WORKS

Description

For your consideration is 14" tall Whistling Hobo vintage collectible, made in Japan during the 1960's. It operates on two "D" size batteries. Most of these you come across no longer work properly, but this one still does. When switched on, the lantern in the hobo's right hand lights up, his head turns from side to side and he whistles a tune. This piece is composed of hard plastic, although it has the rustic appearance of being a wood carving. It is in great condition and there are no major cosmetic concerns to speak of. The battery terminal is clean w/ the cardboard battery diagram still inside. There is one drip of yellow paint just above the left thumb that looks like it was an accident during manufacturing. There are also a couple of discolored spots on the base in front of his left foot and behind his right foot. I am not sure what these spots are, but they may be paint or glue from manufacturing as well. The "slow-fast" knob on the back controls how fast the hobo whistles. When turned all the way to slow, he tends to stop altogether, so just towards slow will slow his whistling down.

: Due within 24 hours of auction end, buy it now/offer accepted or receipt of a combined shipping invoice. If payment is not received within that time frame, offers will be extended to second highest bidders or sales will be canceled and items relisted.
SHIPPING
: All items typically ship within 1 business day of cleared payment. I also combine shipping to save money when possible. For buyers within the United States, if you win more than one auction, please wait for me to send you a combined shipping invoice. If purchasing more than one “buy it now” item, simply add them to your cart and select “request invoice from seller” on the checkout screen. This will send me a request for a combined shipping invoice.  If for some reason items cannot be shipped together, I will let you know.  For international sales, I use the Global Shipping Program and they do not allow combined shipping. Each item will need to be paid for individually, including the shipping costs, and they will be mailed in separate shipments.
SHIPPING INSURANCE
: Shipping fees include full insurance coverage for the sale price. For international sales, insurance coverage is only valid until the item is accepted and shipped from the Global Shipping Center. Once it leaves the shipping center, the Global Shipping Program is responsible for the safe delivery of your item as well as any issues with damage or lost items.
RETURNS
: Not accepted unless an item arrives in a different condition (i.e. damaged) than what is described in the listing or it never arrives at all. If there is an issue with your item or shipment, please contact me immediately to see if we can work something out. If an item ends up getting damaged or lost in transit, I will handle matters on my end.  For international sales, as already mentioned above, the Global Shipping Program is responsible for all issues with damaged or lost items once they leave the shipping center.
