    Description

VINTAGE 1940's Stamped SOLID Brass Wall Sconce Light Fixture RESTORED to PERFECTION.  This is NOT brass plated.
Found with a half century's worth of thick paint it has been disassembled to each individual part, chemically stripped, and cleaned to bring back the patina that was trapped underneath.  I did not clear-coat or wax it so it will continue to develop a darker brown patina with more time, but you can easily polish it to a high luster if you want to.  This was literally painted to a wall but because it was not covering an outlet box someone made 2 small cuts in the bottom of the backplate and ran a wire through it with a plug on it so they could use an outlet below.  They were very clean cuts and I was able to bend the brass back into place so there isnt any hole.  It is almost impossible to see when hung but I wanted you to be aware of the 2 slits.  They can barely be seen in the pic of the fixture are facing to the left (inside the small scallop on the right side of the backplate.)
New Copper Wire, Lamp Socket, and Mounting Strap was installed so its ready to hang on any standard single gang or 3" diameter mounting box right out of the box with NOTHING else to buy.
Shown in pix with a BRAND NEW 25 Watt Candelabra Base Bulb which IS INCLUDED.
Stamped Brass Backplate is 6-1/2" tall x 4-3/8" wide x 1/2" thick around the perimeter and 1-1/2" high to the top of the domed area.
3/8" diameter Polished Chrome Tube Arm comes out approx 3-1/2" off the front of the base.
Brass Tube Arm is approx 1/2" diameter, the Candle Cup Lamp Socket is 1-3/4" diameter and approx 1-1/4" below the center of the Backplate Finial.
The Bobesche is 3" diameter x 3/4" high and projects 5" off the wall.
Overall it is 8" long from the bottom of the arm to the top of the Backplate.
Please note shipping costs are out of my control!  I do my ABSOLUTE BEST to pack in a box which will measure and weigh the least while providing the best protection against damage in shipping.  ALL carriers have increased postage costs, USPS postage is the default shipping method which in some cases will be more expensive than FedEx or UPS.
