as measured from the top of the waist band down to bottom of the trousers

That we do them this way because of t
he shape of the trousers and the fact that some people are tall and slim so that waist measurement is not a useful way of describing these trousers
- EXAMPLE -
where you see 3/160 = 96 OSL - this is for a universal size 3 suit to fit a person with total height up to 160 cms with an outside leg measurement of up to about 96 cms

all measurements are in centimetres so p
lease check on your actual body - or measure a pair of trousers that fit you properly - ALSO note that as with all mass produced clothing from various suppliers there may be some variations in length but these should not usually be very much.
