    Description

    This is a very rare copy of a broadsheet (4 pages) published by the combined newspapers in the San Francisco Bay area, 2 days after the earthquake in 1906 the San Francisco Call-Chronicle-Examiner published the paper. There is minor piece gone from the center fold edge and there are clean flat creases. It is in exceptional condition. The paper is not exceptionally brittle but must be handled with care. Here is the provenance.
    2. The man who brought it in was probably in his 80's. He lived here all his life.
    3. Item was brought to us in a box of very old Californiana books.
    4. The man said the whole collection--and this item in particular--belonged to his grandfather, also local, life-long. It has remained in the family the entire time.

    It is approximately 22-1/4 inches wide by 34 inches tall, un-opened, Opened it is 44 ½? wide and 34? tall.
    The white parts of the picture are from camera flash. The paper is complete accept for the tiny piece you see on one side.
