    Description

Being offered is an issue of the New York Times newspaper from Wednesday March 15, 1939. This ORIGINAL, COMPLETE newspaper (46 pgs) is loaded with all the international, national, regional NY news, entertainment, sports, business and advertising of the day. Highlights in this edition include the headline of Hitler invading Czechoslovakia and in sports, a picture of Baseball Hall of Famers Joe McCarthy and Leo Durocher. This newspaper is folded in the middle as it is home delivery edition and not cut from a bound volume. In FAIR/GOOD condition for it's age, it shows yellowing, some staining, edge tears and flaking and is fragile, especially along the spine and fold lines. Be advised that some pages may show separation at the spine due to the fragility of the paper. A great piece of Americana for the ephemera history collector. Thanks for looking!
