    Description

    Rare original Sunday, January 20, 1918 front page of the daily newspaper New York American reporting on the Russian Revolution.
    Front page photo features a scene of Lenin's revolutionary supporters on Nevsky Prospect in Petrograd (later Saint Petersburg), fighting to overthrow the Kerensky government.
    Newspaper is in delicate condition, with numerous flaws: age yellowing, large water stain, previous restoration work visible, left margin is cut unevenly, etc. [please see detailed photographs]. The darker images -- with newspaper held up to daylight for contrast -- show hairline cracks that are not obvious when the page is flat.
    Measures 17.75" wide x 21.4" tall.
