Catalog # 25001, the Binnacle light was sold with this hour glass globe
only in 1935 & ’36. The years before and after that it had the straight
tube globe. This copper version is also not common. In the Index & Price
Guide by Donald-Brian Johnsons’ “1930’s Lighting Deco & Traditional by
Chase”, it is only indicated to be marketed in polished brass. This is a
battery light, it takes two ‘C’ cells, (not included) and it does work. Overall
condition is very good. Some scratches and discolorations on the top, stems,
and base, but really very nice for it’s age. It is marked on the bottom with
the Chase logo. Height is about 6". (left home and forgot to check that)
