    Description

My Husband and I found this on one of our walks on a Washington beach in 2019.
It appears to be a Japanese fishing boat light.   It's possible that it could be from the tsunami in March of 2011, but without any proof of that it could easily be just a tossed over bulb from a Japanese fishing boat, although I can't understand why they would toss when the filament is in tact and was probably in working order when it made it's way into the ocean.  These same bulbs have been reported as found on the Oregon coast as well as Hawaii.
The stamp at the end reads Takuyo 110 V 500 W along with some Japanese characters above.  Research shows it's manufacturer is Takuyo Riken Co. Ltd.  in Fukuoka Japan.
It measures about 9 inches long with out the metal end that has corroded off in the salt water.
    The filament is in tact.
We have preserved it in the condition we found it.
The barnacles are slowly coming off so I will tissue paper before bubble wrapping and packing.
US Shipping Only on this item because of it's fragile nature.
