    Description

The ALAMOSA INDEPENDENT-JOURNAL – 10 issues – October 23, 1902 (No. 9) – December 25, 1902 (No. 18) – The AI-J was a weekly newspaper with two large sheets (four pages) measuring 25.5 x 19.5 inches. It contains national as well as regional news. The front page of issue No. 9 features the death of JAMES YOUNGER and also features an extra 4 page Holiday suppliment. These newspapers had been preserved in a large bound volume covering roughly two years of the Alamosa Independent-Journal and were previously owned by the State Historical and Natural History Society. The cover and bindings eventually separated so they are being sold in 10 issue lots. These will be shipped flat.
