letterpress copper line cut or line engraving (known on ebay as printer's blocks - but a real printer never would have called them that),
showing a man with a pick, literally digging for FACTS - likely as small caricature of a newspaper reporter.
The ENLARGED scan with the man on YOUR LEFT is what the cut will look like when you take it from the shipping package (with the word "facts" backwards); the ENLARGED scan with the man on YOUR right is what it will look like in its mirror image when it is actually printed on paper. Cuts ALWAYS look better when they are printed but I no longer have any letterpress equipment whereby I could print these for a picture here.
BOTH SCANS ARE, because of new ebay picture rules, possibly LARGER THAN ACTUAL SIZE so go only by the dimensions given in the first paragraph of this description to know the actual size!
Scans appear a bit different from each other because they were scanned at 2 different times on 2 different scanners. I only have ONE of these.
This would be great used by a boutique or hobbyist letterpress printer to print some old looking business cards or stationery for an investigative journalist.
VERY GOOD, modestly soiled.
