This is a vintage newspaper page (12 1/2" x 19") from the Thursday, July 29, 1920, Gainesville Daily Sun newspaper with a headline announcing the Mexican revolutionary Pancho Villa has surrendered to Mexican forces.Pancho (listed as "idol of Mexican Peons") taken into custody under agreed surrender terms: including 1- year military pay for his men, as well as they be allowed to retire to prearranged tracts of land to become farmers. Pancho, himself, is being allowed to retire to a hacienda in Chihuahua.
This page is vintage, browning and brittle, with some chips to the lower edge. It should be handled with care. All vintage historical newspapers will be shipped in plastic sleeves with sturdy cardboard backing and protection.
